Speedrun Leaderboards

Active

This is Speedrun.com. It was founded by Twitch streamer Pac and its intent as a website is to provide leaderboards for as many games as possible for speedrunning. The SM64 page is moderated by a number of SM64 speedrunners, and you can also submit your times here.

This is the RTA Japanese Wiki. It is considered canon but it does not include times that are a bit slower than the absolute best. The site is in Japanese, but it is easy to navigate by clicking the separate categories.

Inactive

This is Mario Runs. It used hold Super Mario 64-centered leaderboards for a few years but has been discontinued. While it now redirects to Speedrun.com, the site can still be navigated for via the Internet Archive.

This is the Google Leaderboards document created by Twitch streamer and SM64 speedrunner MiracleTea. It has not been updated for some time, but for a while it was one of the only English leaderboards on the Internet. Here is an archived spreadsheet backup.

This is sm64.com. Founded by Curtis Bright in 2002, the leaderboard here hasn't been updated since 2009. While it only lists specific stars instead of overall categories like 120 star or 16, the site contains useful information about the game and historical speedrunning information.

    1. There is no official category for 50 stars. There is the 45 star category: http://www31.atwiki.jp/sm64/pages/19.html

with the best time being 35:54 by Puncayshun. The DS version (Super Mario 64 DS) has a 50 star category which involves glitching to access Bowser in the Sky early. Here is an example run for that:

    1. I am just going to have to stop you right there and call BS.
      Cheese05's PB is 1:41:12.

I periodically watch him play live and I am currently doing so as I type this. He clearly shows that 1:41:12 is his PB within his splits. Not to mention Pun holds the WR at 1:40:59.
